For Anna,9 months old

• Hiding toys. Hiding toys under the blanket or hat,where your child can easily find them,is a good way to start teaching them about object permanence.This simple activity shows your child that just because something can't be seen immediately,do sent mean its gone forever.
• Peekaboo. The simple game of peekaboo is ideal for babies between the age of 18 and 24 months.you can either play by hiding just your face behind your hands and shouting peekaboo or you can hide yourself behind the door and wait a second before revealing yourself to your baby.

For paul,3 years old and Andrew,4 years old

• Start by introducing dairy based food products to your child and let him develop a taste for those.With yoghurt,cheese and ghee,not only does he get the nutrition,but he will be more open to trying out milk due to them.

For classification skills

• Read aloud. from a variety of nonfiction books written for young children that include categories.All of these books will also increase a child's vocabulary.
• Sort objects. Have children sort objects.Begin with concrete objects before using pictures of familiar objects.begin with two objects.ask if they are same or different.This is usually the first classification taught formally.matching is a common property of board games(eh:memory) and card games(eh:old maid,go fish) available for the young, and games are always a fun way to provide practice.
• As children seem able,encourage them to figure out the property used to put a group of objects or pictures together as a set.Remind them to look at colour,size,shape,texture and use.because this is more difficult,add this activity to lessons where they are sorting items to fit a given category.

For reading skills

• Book choice. let your child choose their own books.but show them how.explain how to look at the cover,read the back,flip through the pages,and so forth.then let them practice a lot.
• Tracking. follow the words you or your child reads with a finger or reading pointer.
• Reread. children gain confidence and skill by reading familiar books more than once.practice makes better.
• Take turns. take turns reading each page.Or have your child echo read immediately after you say each word or sentence.This will help build confidence and show how fluent readers read with expression.
• Write. kids love reading what they write.write a story together or individually.write poems.write love letters.just write.then read what you wrote.
• Background knowledge. The more background knowledge a child has about a subject,the better their comprehension when reading.you can build this.if you are reading a book on caves,find you tube videos on caves or go visit a cave.then read the cave book.
• Add in tech. Since kids love technology,try reading in websites.

For Tina,13 years old

• Use everyday situations and ask a child to "think about" reasons that it occurred and possible solutions.for example,if you are out of milk,ask child to develop ways that you can deal with the problem.ask about ways that you might avoid the problem.keep the problems simple and relevant to everyday situations.And also. provide opportunities for play.testing how things work informally is crucial to developing critical thinking. Pause and wait............don't intervene immediately.........ask open ended questions...............help children develop hypotheses.....encourage thinking in new and different ways............
