Imagine that you are a hospital administrator at the Sunlight Hospital in California. The main complaint among the patients is the quality of care. Your job is to understand the state of the hospital, create value, increase efficiency, and turn the facility into a local hospital of choice. Whenever you are making visits in various wards to meet the employees and the patients, you hear how the patients love the hospital, but they would like to see certain improvements in care. The employees seem to be very busy executing their duties and not interacting much with the patients. The hospital board has asked you to compile a report of your findings and suggested strategy for achieving the hospital's current goals.

-Safety,first and foremost i would say safety should be on top of list for quality care in hospital.Safety involves varied aspects, data of hospital-success rate of operations,medical errors, technical errors, lack of knowledge of staff,complication errors...With increase in safety percentage patient's trust,inpatient number, their references about hospital to other people increases.

-Efficiency-these involve hospital equipments,standards,resources,staff performance,being efficient with time, delay in providing services, reduced waiting times.Increased efficiency leads to increased readmission rate, efficient usage of time for surgeries,increased satisfactory rate and improved emergency care.

-Partient-Hospital relationship can be improved by good therapeutic relationship of patient and doctor, high satisfactory rates, increased number of bed occupied,good Patient to staff ratio, standards of staff, decrased refferals of patient of other care services. These measures increase inpatients and maintain standards of hospital

-Responsiveness -staff and management should always be responsible and attentive toward patient with improved quality care which leads to increased trust and their perceptions about hospital care this leads to decreases mortality of emergency and crtical cases

-Hospital duties - these include institutional capacity, legal sanctions and professional norms.No discrimination of culture, race, gender, age and licensed doctors and staff are to provided

-High standards of doctors and staff,Developed and advanced equipments,Patient-centered,Ethics and norms of practice, financial stability are the main features to design quality improvement plan.

-With increased standards there will be good service delivery at hospital with increased success rate.
