Solutions

Expert Solution

Ans.1. Main clintelsc would be the clients who are given yellow colour band according to the triage system as we just have to open a clinic on URGENT CARE basis. Diseases associated with yellow colour band may lead to life threatening situations if ignored so we have to tackle them in the clinic.

Common diagnosis:-

Multiple pregnancy in labour

Sickle cell in no crisis

Decreased or no fetal movement

Stable/managed hypertension

Pre-term rupture of membranes

HIV Positive

Diabetes

Previous LSCS

Irritated throat

Dyspnea

Accidental Cases

Common Treatment:-

Midwifery Care

Neonatal Care including resuscitation

O2 Therapy

Anti tuberculosis treatment

Blood Transfusion

Symptomatic treatment e.g., anti-emetics, anti-pyretics etc.

First Aid

And.2. This has been described in the picture attachment.

Ans.3. Staffing Pattern:-

Doctors= Medicine Doctor, Pediatrician, Obstetritian, Gynaecologist

Nurses= Sister Incharge, Nursing Officers, pediatric nurse, midwife

Pharmacologists

Lab assistants

Receptionist

Cleaning Workers

Ans.4. Ideal Patient Encounter:-

Patient must be received by a nurse if he needs emergency care and must be shifted to the emergency room and then asses over there by doctor and treat accordingly. After getting in a stable condition he must be shifted in a ward. No relative must be allowed in emergency room as to prevent contamination. Patient can meet relatives in general ward.

If patient came for a OPD based care then he must take his appointment form the reception and talk to doctor when he has his appointment and get treatment.

If patient is in a very serious situation that is beyond the control of setup then a strong refral unit must be present. Doctor must take a quick action and call for ambulance for the treatment.
