Electrical wires are made of different colour so as to distinguish between the live wire, neutral wire and earth wire. They are generally made of three different colours:

 

Live wire is made of red colour, neutral wire is made of black colour and earth wire is made of green colour.

 

A solar cooker is painted black colour from the outside and inside surface because black colour is a good heat conductor and absorb more heat from the sun. It also does not transmit the heat to the outside atmosphere and hence it is helpful to cook the meal inside the cooker quickly.

 

Vehicle tyres are generally made black in colour because carbon black element is used in the rubber which is used for their manufacturing. This carbon black element is very fine powered form of carbon and it blocks the sunlight which attacks the structure of the rubber. If they are made with simple natural colour rubber, they will lose their flexibility and will start to crack.
