The main challenges and opportunities for managers in using the concepts of Organizational Behaviour are discussed as below:
-- Improvement in skills: The ttechnological changes, environmental changes and structural change are accelerated at a rapid rate in the field of business. Unless executives and employees are equipped to possess the needed skills to adapt such changes, the targeted motives cannot be achieved in effective manner.
-- Improving Quality and Productivity: An expected quality of dependability and uniformity at low cost is a big challenge. The management confronts to meet the challenges to fulfil the specific customers’ needs.
-- Total Quality Management (TQM): The main components of TQM include a primary focus on the customer, quality improvement, continual improvement, employee’s empowerment and accurate measurement. The participation and commitment from the top management; and a culture of continuous improvement need to be developed.
-- Managing Diversification of workforce: The workforce diversity helps to harnessing the innovativeness, tap the potentialities and talent, and obtaining effect of synergy among the divorce workforce. When diversity is not properly managed and showed biases to favor only some categories of employees, there is more difficulty in communicating and may lead to interpersonal conflicts.
