what is DNA polymorphism and define SNP what does it mean genetically
DNA polymorphism is the changes in the nucleotide sequence among
individuals which makes them different from each other. The change
can be of anything, deletion, insertion in the DNA sequence.
Among them the most common type of DNA polymorphism is the SNPs (
single nucleotide sequence). It is the change in any nucleotide
base pair ( adenine, thymine, cytosine, and guanine ) of DNA, which
differentiate between the members of the species. It is basically a
mutation in the nucleotide of DNA.
