what does corporate reputation play within organizational performace and social responsiblility?
Corporate reputation affects both the things given, i.e organizational performance and social responsibility. Let us see how;
1) Affect of corporate reputation on organizational performance
The reputation of the organization has a significant role in it's performance, in the following sense
Case 1) If the organization holds a good reputation
If this is the case, the pressure in the workplace would be not much because any change might affect the performance of employees and then the productivity, however the performance at each managerial and employee level would be high and restricted to the standard of the performance set by the company.
Case 2) If the company does not have a good reputation in the market
This will result in increased work pressures from management to boost up the performance level of employees to meet the market needs and hence gain a rise in reputation, the environment of such an organization would be hectic and stress causing hence affecting the performance of employees towards a low.
2) Affect of corporate reputation in social responsibility
The expectations of government and society from a reputated organization in contributing towards the betterment of society are too high and so they are more social viable when compared to a organization which does not have a good reputation. The organization itself feels more attached towards society and contribute more to it's growth.
