the concept of body image has three characteristics including evaluative body image, affective body image and behavioural body image. evaluative body image represents the cognitive assessment about one's own body. affective represents the feelings towards one's own body and the behavioural body image indicates the influence of sexual behaviours on the thoughts of one's own human body.

  • there is high chance for individuals with poor body image to involve in risky sexual behaviours such as sexual intercourse with multiple partners without protective devices.
  • this negative concerns target their phases of sexual drive include desire, arousal and orgasm and leads to state of irritability, frustration and depression in later stages.

menopause is the stage when the mensus stops which leads to several physiological and psychological concerns. the physiological concerns could be that of drying of vaginal mucous membrane which leads to painful intercourse and later leads to lack of interest and orgasm. psychological concerns include low mood, impending doom, mood swings and later stages may lead to depression.
