What does the following statement mean to you, “Illness being what you have when you are on your way to see the doctor; disease being what you have on your way home”

Ilness is the feeling or experience of a person like feeling sick or unwell, fatigue or weak etc. It is a state when a person is deprived of good health awhich impaires his normal activity of living. illness can be physical or mental illness.

Disease on the other hand is the pathological process like diabetes, cancer, heart disease or mania etc.

So we can state that illness is what a patients feels or experienced that causes him or her to seek medical help whereas disease is the diagnosis of the cause of illness after the physician examine , evaluation and test the patient.
