1.What is weak paternalism and what is strong paternalism? Give an example of a justifiable grounds for appealing to each of them?
First of all paternalism is is an international method where another person's liberty, autonomy and activities are intervened in order to promote good behaviour and good activities and keep that person safe from any harm or injury and prevent any mishap. Medical field in terms of paternalism, the weak paternalism where the physician will only disobey or interrupt with the patient if and only if he finds that the patient is not in his capacity and decisions taken arebnot well informed and voluntary in nature. Whereas in case of strong paternalism the physician intervenes and finds it legitimate to take decisions when he is sure that the patient is incapacitated and it is very important to take stronger decision in his stead about the medical condition of the patient. the key difference between both the strong and weak paternalism lies in the objective on the ground of intervention where the paternalism takes insufficient steps to justify the means to an end. Strong paternalism as compared to week is focused on the Patna lysm where it is weak and irrational.
What is the role of confidentiality in medicine?
