      Conceptual definition provides the whole details of what the concept means whereas an operational definitions provide the details of how to measure it.

      Conceptual knowledge means the knowledge of refering ,understanding the concepts, principles,theories etc. We can attain conceptual knowledge through experiences by listening, reading,seeing or participating in many activities.There are various classifications, principles,theories, models,or structures for particular area of disciplinary action.The conceptual understanding plays an important role in students to aquire mathematical ideas and has the ability to transfer their knowledge into other situations.

    The operational definition of knowledge means the evidence of a belief .When the belief comes true it is clear that you know your belief. It is more useful for the individuals to improve their efficiency, competence,experience etc.The operational knowledge helps to identify knowledge objects,operation methods,goals and other various support functions.
