1. Suppose you are a project manager using waterfall approach on a large and complex project. Your manager has just read the latest article in Computerworld that advocates replacing waterfall with Extreme Programming (EP) and comes to your office requesting you to switch. What would you say?
2. Imagine you were an analyst developing a new EIS (Executive Information System) intended to provide key strategic information from existing corporate database to senior executives to help in their decision making. What methodology would you use and why?
3 .Think about your analyst position. Write a newspaper ads to hire someone for that position. What skill and experience would be required ? How would the applicants demonstrate that they have the appropriate skill and experience ?
1. Answer :- Waterfall Model is one of the software development model ,means from blueprint of project to its maintenance.
In Waterfall model the each step interdependence to another steps.First of all its necessary tools to know how much production processes proved. After then whatever new idea suggested how to its planned, mean to know how the previous software model, waterfall model fit with new extreme programing.
So if the project is just started and no much cost invested in project then switch the project is better option. Because if previous project is complex then this type of project critical to finish also. And if the project is not future ready the we must choose that project which are future ready.
2. Answer :- To work in any co-operate company it is very important to know the how the company process with their works. If I'm a analysist in executive system information, then my first work to observe how my senior handle the database work. And after deep thinking how to new method to apply in database to store data and how it's benifisile and its impact I have to think all the aspects first without giving any verbal suggestions without knowing others impacting expects. Because it important to work in any with co-operating manner.
3. Answer :- There are following Qualifications required for any system analysist. They're:-
1. B.tech. , Bachelor degree in computer Science , mathematics , statistics, MCA or equivalent degree.
2 Good English communication skills, written and public speaking skills.
3. Set prepared portfolio on their own reports regarding any data and its analysis ideas.
4) 4 - 5 year working experience certificate in data analysis field.
5. Proficiency in the dataset analyst (eg :- Excel, SAP, SAS etc ) dataset field software working knowledge.
Process to take selection of analysist
1. Written examination
2. Written , passed selected Students interview process.
3. After interview shortlist the selected students and take their opinion about company. After then give them the company working training.
4.) After 2 - 3 month training check their ability to work with dataset.
