Key performance Indicators are defined as a
success measuring scale of an organisation. With the help of
KPI, It becomes possible for a company to analyse
how well a company is performing. Thus, by using this parameter,
let's solve the mentioned issues in the question above.
IMPLEMENTATION
STRATEGIES :
Implementation strategies refers to those
strategies which are applied by the company to execute it's
plans and procedures in a strategic and effective
way. Here, the situation is that the organisation needs to
maintain full staffing capacity through rapid recruitment to fill
vacancies and there are almost 13 new sales staff that needs to be
employed , inducted and trained in next 2 months.
Therefore in this case :-
- When the company needs to employ new employees
to fill it's vacant position, then the company can start by
releasing advertisements in newspapers or through radio channels
regarding the vacancy in the company so that interested candidates
can apply for respective positions. Another way to employ the right
candidate is through placements. The company can reach out to
potential universities in order to conduct placements and choose
the right fit. Thus, the very first and foremost step is to conduct
Interviews on different dates so that recruitment process can
start.
- Once the recruitment process and taking of Interviews is done,
then comes the selection process. Selection process is a part of
Employ as it ensures that the candidate is selected or not
and whether he/she can be employed in the organisation or not. Here
in this process, scrutinizing the candidates and selecting the
right one occurs.
- After employing the right candidates, next step that comes in
is Induction. Induction is a process wherein the
selected candidates are made to know about the company which they
have joined and got selected for. Here, the history of the company
is told, as in how it came into existence, when did it come into
existence, what was the sole purpose for the company to come to
come into existence, who all formed the company etc is shared with
the newly joined candidates. Along with it, there roles and
responsibilities, certain rules that needs to be followed as an
employee etc are also shared so that they are thorough with the
whole process and their purpose too. Thus, Induction process is a
very enriching stage for the employees to know all about the
company for which they would be working. Here, in this case, as the
candidates are selected, telling them about the company, it's
history, the goals and achievements so far, and also what will be
there roles and duties as an employee must be taught. In this way,
they will have a clear idea as to why and for what purpose are they
selected and what purpose is to be served by them. All and all the
employment + selection must be done in 15-30 days span.
- The next and one of the most crucial process is
training the candidates. Training
process is a very important step because here the
candidates are taught how the job needs to be done, what protocol
needs to be followed, what to do and whom to report. This process
trains a candidate and makes him familiar with his job
responsibilities and targets that needs to be achieved. Thus, this
is a time consuming process and can take around 15-25 days or more
according to job responsibilities. Once the training is given the
candidate is now prepared to perform his job responsibilities and
thus becomes an employee.
MENTORING /
COACHING PROCESS :
This process is similar to training process. Here too an
employee is trained and mentored so that he/she feels motivated to
carry out his/her duties in a good manner and thus serve the
purpose of joining the company efficiently. Thus, in order to make
the employees familiar towards their company, mentoring them
becomes a very crucial thing. Here are the steps that can serve
this purpose :
- Firstly, it's very important to establish mutual
trust between the employees and the company. This can be
done by knowing the company, telling them how important they are to
the company and that they are not just an employee but an asset for
the company without which the company won't be able to perform.
After all, a company works only if it's employee do the work. Thus,
making them realize this is very crucial as then mutual trust will
be formed on both sides.
- Secondly, an employee will give it's best only when he knows
what needs to be done. In other words, tell them what roles
they need to perform. When this thing is clear to
employees that what are the roles that needs to be performed by
them then the work becomes interesting for the employee and even he
puts his best foot forwards towards achieving it. Proper training
regarding what work needs to be done is very important.
- Mentoring an employee is not just about telling them what to do
and what not to. This will bring no motivation factors. Though it's
necessary for an employee to know his/her work, but that itself is
not sufficient. Therefore, bonus and perks that is
given to best performer of the year and other such rewards will
boost up the employee and he/she will feel motivated towards
his/her job.
- Once the knowledge about what needs to be done and what roles
and rules, regulations needs to be performed is imparted to the
employees, it's crucial to make them do the work practically.
Practical knowledge of the work is the most important task from
where the real working of the process will be made familiar to the
employee. Thus, giving practical knowledge is very
important.
INTELLECTUAL
PROPERTY ISSUES :
The marketing department has provided details for the design of
the signs for the delivery vans. Here, before entering into any
kind of purchasing agreement, it's crucial to refer to
Intellectual property rights, shortly
called IPR. IPR refers to the protecting
the creation made by mind, by using ones intellect quality, art,
music etc. Anything new or innovative can be protected by using
IPR. The use of IPR is that it protects the invention from getting
copied or misused by others. IPR are of different types like
copyrights , trademarks and patents.
Thus, before entering into purchasing agreement it's better to
ensure that whether or not the designs are original or whether
similar designs have been patented or already under trademark
lists. If not, then it's better to get IPR done for our designs so
that it remains unique and can be used by our company itself.
