ANS 1. In Urinary tract Infection the infants and children have different symptoms.

Infant -.they may have fever , crying during urination ,foul smelling or bloody urine , refusing to eat. Sometimes they may have no symptoms other than fever

In children - Pain or burning during urination, pain in the bladder and urinate frequently

Ans2. Other signs or symptoms -.   

- Tiredness

- Pain in the Back or side , below the ribs.

- Urine looks dark , reddish in colour

- Feeling pain even when not urinating

- Vomiting.

ANS 3. RISK FACTORS -

- Vesicoureter influx - In this the flow of urine goes wrong way .

- Genetic factors - more prevalent in female relatives of women with recurrent UTI . It is influence by several genes.

- lack of circumcision It increases the risk of UTI in Infection

- neurogenic bladder

- phimosis

- Anatomical abnormalities

ANS 4. NURSING MANAGEMENT

1. The nurse should encourage patient to drink large amount of fluids inorder to flush the bacteria from the urinary tract as well as to increase renal blood flow.

2. To relieve pain the nurse should give Antipasmodic agents which will relieve bladder irritability   and analgesic

3. A nurse should also take test and diagnosis of patients before giving antibiotics.

THERAPEUTIC TREATMENT

1. Recommend antibiotics is Trimethoprim or sulfamethaxazole.

2. Alternatives antibiotics include amoxicillin or cephalexin

3. Ultrasound or MRI may be used to give correct Treatment or medication to patients.
