Every individual in this world is different form one another. Not only on the basis of appearance but in terms of choices, ability, principles, skills, preferences, habits, hobbies, thoughts and of course learning ability. Different individuals prefer different learning styles which is now widely accepted as well as anticipated by educators from all around the world. There are many ways in which the individual learning styles affect the degree to which a learner can understand or perform educational activities. For instance, some students are good in reading and understanding things while some can relate the concept well when taught with an example. There are some students who prefer visual representations of information like graphs, maps and presentation while others prefer to do it practically and then only understand it by practise. So it becomes evident that the previous student will have a better theoretical knowledge of the concept while the other will have a better practical knowledge of the theory.
As a result to these preferences, it becomes very crucial for the educators to identify individual learning styles and preferences when working with learners because if they will not do this anticipataion, they would not able to deliver their knowledge to the students efficiently and there will be a big information deficit between the educator and the learner. To promote this kind of teaching method in the class, an educator should engage the students in more and more of interactive sessions so as to understand them as well as their preferences better. Apart from classroom reading and learning, more of outside learning activities should also be practiced to keep a balance between bookish and practical knowledge. Interesting learning techniques like the video animation of the topic should be introduced in the classrooms and most importantly, there should always be a two-ways communication in the classroom.
