Describe the concept of learning and
examine how any three (3) internal factors can adversely affect
effective learning and change in individual’s behaviour within the
organization.
Learning is the concept in which a
person would be acquiring new knowledge along with modifying the
existing knowledge where the values or the preferences are
modified. Learning ability is possessed by most animals humans as
well as machines. Learning may be immediate or may take some time.
Since birth humans begin to learn and this learning is continued
till end.
The internal factors that affect
learning are:
- Motivation: motivation changes the
behavior of a person within an organisation. depending on the
response they get from the seniors or the intrinsic motivation that
they have, work would either progress in a positive direction or
would progress in a negative direction. alternatively, the person
might start getting excited to work more or depressed if they feel
negatively motivated.
- Self efficacy: depending on the
self efficacy of a person, their attitudes are perceived. not every
person has the same skill set or talents to perform a task. as a
result, some people might perform the same task in half the time
compared to another colleague. this sort of self efficacy drives a
person so as to finish their work sooner and move to another
project. such people are also regarded highly by the other people
of the organisation and in turn have a positive influence and
relation with other members.
- Focus on goals: a person is always
positively motivated if they are focused on their goals. the focus
drives them to achieve their goals and push them in the correct
direction. such people are more motivated to achieve a particular
project and tend to excel any work they might be doing.
