C. difficile are the bacterial specieces which are found in the form of the spores in the feces and these are spread through the food in the human body, when the person generally children do not wash the hands properly before eating, means fail to maintain the required hygiene. It can be transmitted even by toching the contaminated surface also.

Following are the significant actions which the nurse sholud take to protect herrself and the other patients on the unit when taking care of your patient infected with C.difficle:

  • It is recommended to use gloves and gown while entering in the patients' rooms infected with C.dicfificle and utmost precautions should be taken during care of such patient.
  • Then it is advised to rempove the personal protective equipments (PPE) folowed by the proper hand hygiene while exiting from the room.
  • Further it is required to change all the gloves and the gloves while moving from the one patient room to the another.

Thus in this way we can effectively manage the patient infected with the c.diff. anf prevent the further transmission.
