Respirattory therapists are the health care practitioners ,they are experts in the care and treatment of patients with acute or chronic respiratory illnesses.Nurses can specialize in a multitude of areas,they can cross -train into the ampulatory care to psychiatry to emergency medicine to addiction specialist etc.The respiratory therapists training is concentrated on pulmonery,sometimes on cardiopulmonary,medicine.so that they can become work with critical care patients,ventilators,bi-pap machines.

Respiratory therapist treat patients with problems related to breathing,if the people who suffering from lung disease.They are patient care managers who not only determine the need for respiratory care services ,but they actually administer that direct care to patient.

Respiratory therapist are responsible for to administering aerosolized medication to the ventilatede patients.but the respiratory therapist or nurses may administer medication to the patient who are not ventilated.Patients who reciving aerosol therapy will have to monitoring their heart rate and oxygen saturation.

Respiratory therapist and the respiratory nurses are working in the hospital settings and other medical facilities to assist patients for the tratment for respiratory problems.Respiratory therapy is generally focused on the specified area .But the nurses tend to learn about a lot,where as respiratory therapist tend to learn about a little.They are two different fields of study and practice.The main similarity is the fact that both are respected professions that emphasize providing the best care possible for their patients.So that the nurses have to requires a significant amout of education and training in resiratory therapy that is definitely a nice option for nurses .
