I have learnt different management concept and their application in a real time scenario and I will specifically implement the HR management skills w.r.t. the training of employees, effective communication between the nursing and health care team and the patients, removing the cultural gap and bringing in those dedicated and skilled staff who want to contribute in patient care. For example, behavioral and cultural training to the nurses and other staff, will help them understand the requirements of the patients and respond quickly. It will improve the patient care as well as add value to the services offered by the organization. The reduction in cultural gap, will build respect and understanding of the patient care team towards the patients. It will bring the customization in service delivery to the patient, adding more satisfaction to them.
The first thing, I would like to do, is to take the feedback of the patients and understand their issues that can be resolved quickly. On the basis of feedback and inputs provided by the patients, the interaction and short training of the service delivery team will take place. It will bring a change in the approach of service delivery and promptly resolve the few issues (if not many) faced by the patients. Afterwards, progressively the level of patient care and its quality will improve with carefully designed training programs.
