Skimming: this is a quick reading. That means, if reading a magazine or news paper, then this method mostly uses. It helps for selecting special articles to deeper level reading, and through other articles are eyes are running. Other example is, selecting needed number from telephone dictionary. It is a fast experience, and gives main theme of every articles. It saves time. Eg, going through

Scanning:it is other type of reading. In this eyes are quickly passes through books, that will also save time. Eg. If having a book regarding information regarding first aid, then searching for first aid of burn , will focus that only. He will not read Other first aids, and his eyes will run through that for getting , what he want.

Intensive: it is a type of reading, in which deep understanding of topic. It may take long periods for this. Clearly understand each and every sentence. So in above statement "digested" Matching with this type reading.

Extensive:it is a type of reading, which is for pleasure. It is read long books or something for getting general information.
