(a) Human resources (HR) includes the people who work for a company and the department responsible for the management of resources related to employees. Every employee has the right to do the job successfully in safe environment.The safe workplace not only helps the worker to do his job, but also increases the overall productivity of the company. We can keep a safe environment by maintaining an accident book, communicating with the employees in a better way and proper monitoring of the situation.HR plays vital role in administering, communicating, and championing the safety policies and needs to explain to the authority as well as to the employees that the safe environment is not only the responsibility of the employers, but of the employees as well. HR have the responsibility to make sure that the issues of the employees are heard and solved. Good management of HR will boost the company in positive manner.
(b) Collective bargaining can be defined as the negotiation between employers and a group of employees to determine conditions of employment and to make the collective bargaining agreement. The conditions of employees are commonly presented by representatives of a trade union to which the employees belong. Simply, it's a discussion to set out wage scales, working hours, training, health and safety and rights to participate in workplace affairs. This is governed by federal and state statutory law, administrative agency regulations, and judicial decisions. National Labor Relations Act (NLRA) gives most collective agreements in the private sector. As per this, discrimination to the workers, harass, or terminate the employment of workers because of their union membership or retaliate against them for engaging in campaigns are illegal. It is also illegal to require any employee to join a trade union as a condition of employment.State laws also regulate collective bargaining and make agreements enforceable under state law.
(c) There are much effective strategies for recruiting and selecting job applicants. Treating candidates like best customers, hiring candidates for the long term, strengthen the employer brand with content marketing, providing better office space for attraction,use data to optimize hiring time, choose a strategy to attract the best cultural fits, chase passive candidates,use video in more stages of hiring process, implement a mobile friendly application process, nurture your talent pool with drip emails, train your interviewers on the latest interview techniques, connect with alumni for rehires and profile your best employees are the better strategies for recruiting. The better recruiting makes better life for the company or organisation.
(d) Employee orientation is the process to prepare the new selected employees to do their job successfully.Training programs are used to ensure that the new employee has the basic knowledge required for the firm. Orientation programs not only improve the performance of employees but also help employees to satisfy their personal desires to feel they are part of the organization's social fabric. Training should be scheduled to provide the employee an opportunity to meet his or her goals.Different training approaches are Basic literacy training,Technical training,Interpersonal skills training and Problem‐solving training.
