do you think we should be testing on animal and using them for research? explain why?

Solutions

Expert Solution

Ans :- Yes ofcourse testing of animals should be used for research because of the following reasons.

1. Humans cannot be used for testing directly as scientists are not sure about the outcome of various chemicals, procedures used for scientific studies that is why animals are taken for testing before making sure that the testing will not harm human life.

2. mice are used for testing as they have many of the same body systems and functionality as humans and are susceptible to many of the same diseases, moreover they can be bred in a controlled manner also some genes can be turned on or off to mimic the human disease conditions making it easier to evaluate the effects of any given product on the chosen condition.

3. We share 95% of our genes with a mouse, making them an effective model for the human body this is the reason that we should use mouse for testing instead of humans.

4. animals suffer from similar diseases to humans including TB, Flu Cancers, asthama etc.

5. animal testing method plays an inportant role in biomedical research, today all veternary research depends on the use of animal research.
