Expert Solution

Ethics in research is all about those said or unsaid principles that govern how the research should be conducted or performed. It is quite important to adhere to ethical principles while performing research in order to protect rights and maintain dignity throughout the research process.

There are the following reasons why we should use ethics in research:

1. They promote the key aim of the research that is expansion of knowledge. For example, a research paper is used for further research or for the discovery of some facts or to formulate a strategy or process.

2. They value and provide the support required for the needed collaboration. Without collaboration between the researchers and group members, an outcome cannot be reached. For example, if collaboration is not done, it would lead to discovery of wrong facts.

3. They ensure that the researcher acts accountable for the research work. It is because public money is used to support the researcher. For example, they should act fairly and in compliance with the research methodologies.

4. They ensure that research can be trusted by the public or by the intended party for which the research was conducted. For example, research done to understand the requirement of common people for public services should be trustworthy so that schemes can be prepared accordingly.

In this assignment, we will explore some simple expressions and evaluate them. We will use an unconventional approach and severely limit the expressions. The focus will be on operator precedence. The only operators we support are logical or (|), logical and (&), less than (<), equal to (=), greater than (>), add (+), subtract (-), multiply (*) and divide (/). Each has a precedence level from 1 to 5 where higher precedence operators are evaluated first, from left-to-right. For example,...
