physical and emotional consequences of failure of the urinary system
Failure of the urinary system or renal failure is a serious medical condition which can be severe and life-threatening with time. They have a number of physical and emotional consequences. Due to poor functioning of the kidneys, all the waste product and liquid in the body gets collected inside the body and the total urine output goes down significantly. Due to this condition, body parts like legs, ankles, feet starts swelling. Other physical problems includes weakness, nausea, fatigue, shortness of breath, drowsiness and trouble sleeping.
Not only physical but a patient with renal failure also experiences a lot of emotional issues due to the total change brought to their life by this medical condition. They develop a lot of upseting feelings inside them like fear of ending life, grief of loosing friends, long-term depression and even suicidal thoughts. There are significant change in their behaviour due to their mental condition like inability to make decisions, lost of interest in doing things that they once used to enjoy, total isolation, anger outbursts and loss of apetite.
