Uber is a cab aggregator basted primarily in United States and whose marketing strategy has not been to use the traditional mass marketing methods like television or print and other media, but to use out-of-the-box promotional activities to educate and engage with customers. Uber is focused at presentation of a good product in front of their customers and they want their customers to use it and then get addicted to it.
Uber's marketing strategy could be summarised in five stages which can be illustrated through launch, which illustrates that they are routing in, key influences from every country, to try out Uber service for the first time secretly and the idea is to create a social Buzz and reach out to the millions of followers.
Then Uber is focusing at referral marketing by going through referral to create a Domino effect where the customer ask his family member or friend to use the app and follow the same pattern.
Uber is also using heavy discount and festival marketing along with product development to gain market share and become available for customers when the most needed what they wanted.
Uber is also coming up with other key players in the domestic Arena like Uber is tying up with various restaurant booking sites in order to deliver the cab along with the food and it is also trying to establish and sustain the brand and it want to grow tremendously in order to acquire the pulse of every City Eand make customers addicted to the service.
