1. Health associated problems

This mainly includes community acquired pneumonia urinary tract infections dementia motor weakness. Many a times these Health issues are not adequately addressed. Then daily people need close attention more often than any other population. Only a trained healthcare worker can provide due attention to the health issues of the elderly.facilities And manpower to provide this service is lacking in many of these institutions.

2.Psychological stress.

Elderly population is Under tremendous Stress due to various reasons such as isolation from the society fear of death fear of diseases and the list goes endless. Even those center's which provide excellent medical care often neglects the importance of mental healthcare and counseling. Depression and anger management issues saree very common in people residing by in old age homes.

3.Safety is definitely an issue for senior citizens. The steady security in an old age home gives them protection from intruders and helps them live a safe and secure life.

4 lack of choices

There is limited choice in an old age home when it comes to living space and choice in food. It is like community living and there is lack of privacy. It is not the same as living in one’s own home.

5.adjustment issues in community

Elderly person have difficulties in assisting to a different environments, following files of the institute, being a cooperative individual in a society etc

If I have a choice I would like to continue with my family itself as that's the place were have nurtured to this stage. If there is a practical difficulty in that our my family members wishes me to be send to a facility then I would like to choose something that provide me modest facilities, some privacy, communication facilities to contact my family, with facility for active social life within three institution. All these provisions should come in an affordable price too.
