Answer:Attachment is defined as the tendency of human beings to make strong affectional bonds with special others.Attachment theory is originally developed by John Bowlby is one of the most well-known theories used in child and family social work ,it provides a simple psychologically appealing way to understand the intense nature of relationship between, primarily, parents and children.The most important tenet is that young children need to develop a relationship with at least one primary caregiver for normal social and emotional development.It has been widely applied to the nurse -patient relationship in those with chronic medical illness and also in the palliative care setting.
