Generally Accepted Accounting Principles have laid down the main foundation that accountants must follow while preparing and presenting the financial statements from the books of accounts. It is important to follow the mandatory accounting standards policies and principles to maintain proper books of accounts. Only by maintaining proper books of accounts it would be possible to prepare and present financial statements of an organization or business correctly. Thus, importance of accounting is huge in today’s day and age.
