Basic Structure of the essay

The entire essay should be structured in a way that discusses the nature of Not for Profit Organizations in this case Hospitals, and the aspects of Political modelling. Further we need to discuss the consequences of treating enough patients or mentaining quality. Its important to discover a balance between quality and quantity. With the help of analysisng the costs and benifits of the two aspects, a logical balance must be established that either shows giving prioritizing either one, or prioritizinf quality and quantity both equally.

Important Concepts to be discussed.

  1. Not for Profit Oganizations are organizations that work not for money but for the welfare of the people. Sure, it needs money and resources and cannot function without them, but its primary focus is ensuring that utility is provided to the people.
  2. At the same time, Political Modelling shows that the organizations are problematic and potent at the same time. It doesn't entirely negate or appraise their presence. Such models agree that there are certain flaws in organizations and they can be improved with time. Nothing is perfect and we must work our way through such imperfections.
  3. One model that works best for Not for Profit organizations is Market Models of Democracy. Like the name suggests, it works for the people. Generally this model is implemented in Not for Profit Organizations where it gives an opportunity to the people to put forward their prefernces and eventually determine what is important. It allows the individuals to hold distinctive prefences for public services and votes. It allows their voices to be heard. In such organizations, its important to have a voice and express personal views.
  4. Further we need to discuss the importance of quality and quantity. A hospital that is not for profit primarily wishes to provide services to as many people as it can. But it must be kept in mind that the resources are limited and hence they shouldn't be wasted or overutilized. There wil come a moment where further people wouldn't be able to be treated due to lack of resources. This is where quality would come into picture. It would be better to provide quality health services to some.

Conclusion

A political model such as the one mentioned above would be able to give a voice to everyone and not just the trustees of the board that might not prioritize welfare overprofits. It's nature would also help the members of the hospital to decide whether quality should be preffered or quantity while treating patients. An informed decision could be reached.
