Delivering child is a very painful procedure. The process of undergoing labour gives unbearable pain. An epidural anesthesia helps reduce the pain and has gain popularity. But I would prefer not to take anesthesia during child birth. An epidural anesthesia is given at the level below L2. Back pain is one of the major side effects of epidural anesthesia. Other risks involved are hypotension, nerve damage, headache, breathing difficulty. Owning to these risks I would not prefer anesthesia during childbirth.
Lamaze method helps in preparing the parents for natural child birth through strategies such as pain coping mechanisms, breathing exercises, relaxation techniques. It is very beneficial as it help prepare the mother emotionally and physically to prepare herself for the process of childbirth. It ahelps facilitate labour and promote natural childbirth.
As a father I would support whatever choice my partner makes for child birth. I would only wish and pray for a safe child birth and health of the child as well as mother. I would support my partner emotionally as well as physically.
Pros of anesthesia during child birth:

1. pain can be eradicated

2. helps releive the distress caused by pain during labour contraction.
Cons of anesthesia during child birth:

1. back pain

2. nerve damage

3. pain at site of injection

4. headache

5. hypotension

pros of lamaze method :

1. facilitats labour

2. prepare for child birth

3. helps cope up with labour pain without medical interventions

4. help reduce parent's anxiety and stress and promote emotional support

Cons of Lamaze method :

1. Classes can be expensive

2. taking out time for the lamaze method can be difficult for some parents
