For a successful project, we need the following conditions to be present as part of the consideration

PRE PLANNING, REQUIREMENTS GATHERING, PLANNING, AND REVIEW
Before a plan is constructed, we need to ensure we have all the necessary requirement of t project in mind, it can include all relevant information from any previously conducted projects, the current market analysis, opportunity, and cost-benefit analysis as well as the proper amount of planning and review period before the project can be started.

GOVERNANCE

While most teams might be self-governed with their part in the project, the consideration for the project manager to oversee all the operations, coordinate and communicate the information from one entity to the next is crucial. Therefore, proper governance is a necessity.

COMMITMENT FROM THE UPPER MANAGEMENT AND THE BOARD

While the project manager has decision making power over the project, the board has absolute power over the funding and the requirements, and therefore, their support is necessary throughout the process.

APPROPRIATE GUIDANCE FROM THE SPONSOR

The sponsor is the bridge between the project manager and the board, securing funding, helping with the planning, and making sure the project stays on the scope is necessary and therefore, a good project sponsor is an absolute necessity.

APPROPRIATE STANDARDS

While the project could be highly nuanced and experimental, the execution and the final product need to be based on appropriate standards and therefore, we need the project manager to set up appropriate standards and the project teams to follow through accordingly.
