Project control and monitoring are phases of any project in
which projects are monitored and controlled as per the planning
done to make sure that it is moving ahead to achieve the objective
of projects within the limits of cost, schedule and quality.
Some of the typical issues that arises during project control
phases in projects can be broadly categorised in below reasons:
- Delay in schedule - This may occur due to
delay in completing the pervious tasks, shortage of resources or
may be due to wrong planning also.
- Overbudget of project - Excess spend of money
as compare to plan at any time of project is an issue,. This may be
caused due to delay in project, increase in cost of resources ,
quality issues or wrong planning.
- Quality issue - Quality objective is key
parameters for any project. Quality issue may cause closure of
project , delay of project or overbudget of project. Absence of
strong quality assurance and quality control may cause quality
issues.
- Unhappy and unsatisfied Stakeholders :
Stakeholders of any project are as important as schedule, cost or
quality. Issue related to stakeholders typically due to problems in
capturing the requirement from all stakeholders and
communication.
