COVID-19 is a contagious disease caused by a newly discovered coronavirus. It is an ongoing health emergency globally, and the risk of hospital-acquired infection is worrying about health workers.

In this situation, discuss the epidemiological aspects of disease transmission and the types of prevention and control methods that should be taken to restrict or minimize the spread of infection in a healthcare setting. How much of a current threat do you feel this outbreak has on the population of the Kingdom of saudi Arabia, and explain your reasoning? (250 words)

As per the studies and the information what we have received the epidemilogy of covid 19 is quiet fearful. The mode of transmission of this infection is droplet and it is said that when the person comes in contact with the infected surface and when he touches his nose or the face the infection gets transmit. And the spread of this infection is like chain reaction.Sometimes we are not able to identify the infected persons .So it is not exactly detect the source of infection. However the mode of transmission is mainly through the droplet. Also there are opinion stating that this is airborn infection. So at present we can say that still the studies are going on to find its mode of transmission. The above mentioned are the possible way of transmission when we consider the current status of infected persons all around the world.

First and formost the simple step that we can take to minimize the spread of this infection is to minimize the number of individuals rushing to the healthcare, like we can avoid the extra people  coming along with the patient .Alllow only one relative with the patient. The other important thing waht we can do is check each and every individual coming to the healthcare and arrange screening questionare at the entrance of the healthcare system itself to identify the possibly infecte clients.Provide sanitizer to the patient at the entrance level itself also make sure every one keep the facemask.Keeping facemask protect  the people from getting infection aas well as from spreading infection.Mkesure the hospital staff washes their hand whenever possible to avoid the spread of the organism. The other plan that can be made possible to minimize the infection is social distancing, keep atleast 2mete distance from one person to other person, and avoid shaking hands.Dont touch the face especially the area around the nose and the mouth.

The current threat of this disease condition on the soudi popolation is same as that of the other countries. But only thing can have lesser rate of spreading infection since the people are not coming into the street and make groups .And it is better to take actions to avoid interpersonal spread of infections by keeping the face mask, washing hands frequently and by maintaining the social distancing.

The Coronavirus disease 2019 (COVID-19) is an infectious disease caused by the severe acute respiratory syndrome coronavirus 2 (SARS-CoV-2). This type of RNA virus causes diseases by replicating only inside the living cells of an organism like mammals and birds. When not inside an infected cell, viruses behave mostly as inert things (e.g., do not self-replicate, do need energy to exist and might crystallize). What traits, common to living things, might define SARS-CoV-2 as a living organism? Define at least...

Unfortunately, we now plagued with COVID-19, a disease that is caused by a novel Coronavirus (aka Severe acute respiratory syndrome, SARS-CoV-2). However, there is a significant percentage of those infected with the virus who show mild to no symptoms. On the other hand, others die from the disease complications in a short period of time. Why is there such a contrasting effect on our human population? If another cycle or season of the corona virus appears, what are your expectations...

The virus (SARS-CoV-2) that causes Coronavirus Disease 2019 (COVID-19) spreads easily enough to have caused a global pandemic hard to contain so far. Effective containment needs to be informed by some key epidemiological factors. One such factor is called the “serial interval” and it represents the “duration between symptom onsets of successive cases in a transmission chain.” That is, if person A (infector) transmits the virus to person B (infectee), then the serial interval is the amount of time between...
