At the end of the useful life of the
product, it is disposed by either donating it to those who still
finds some usefulness of the product, or it is sent for the
disintegration. Though, it is dependent upon the nature of the
product itself. For example, an old electronic gadget after the
completion of the useful life, may be very handy to hand over to
those who wants to learn upon the gadget without making any
investment. Besides, the some important parts of the gadget can act
as spares to be used in some other device. So, some sort of
usefulness can be drawn from these ready to be disposed products.
So, on the basis of the nature of the product, it is either donated
or recycled on most of the occasions for products like laptops and
phones. Products like shoes are recycled as these items cannot
serve more to others.
It happened with the laptop that I wished to keep it for children
as they want to learn freely. I got it after I gave the laptop to
another person who needed it more. The reverse case of keeping a
product longer did not take place as I have got good length useful
lives out of the products and never thought to sell it early. In a
family environment, the electronic gadgets keep change of ownership
for the learning purposes. So, usefulness is maintained for longer
period of time.
It is my Sony mobile handset and my Lenovo Laptop that has served
me in best possible ways.
