Some people argue that happiness is a personality disposition, such that people vary in terms of their baseline of happiness. Happiness of lottery winners, for example, increases as soon as they win the lottery, but after a while returns to their baseline – that is, they are no more happier now, than they were before winning the lottery. Your task is to: (1) develop a happiness scale (i.e., write 5 to 7 items to measure happiness and tell me how you will measure it), and (2) validate the scale. Describe in detail what you will do (steps you will engage in) to develop the scale and to validate the scale. You need to educate me every step of the way, as if you are explaining this process to a friend or a sibling who hasn’t taken this class.
The subjective happiness scale self report measure develop to identify an individual so on happiness as measured through self-evaluation this is a 7 point type scale. Scores ranges from 1 to 7 with highest scores reflecting greater happiness. Where 1 is not a very happy person and 7 is a very happy person.companies all over the world have started investing in workshop and their learning sessions to help the employees become happier. Although it is very much popular we often still don't know what is happiness.
Measurement of scale happiness: the measurement can only be done by self report assessment it this can make a think that happiness cannot be measured scientifically but they are often created in scientific manner research testing and norming with population sample and then the samples are tested give the result. Happiness can also be measured by studying our different behaviour more of your behaviour would be smiling and laughing behaviour that involve gratitude act of kindness or generosity happiness is also a subjective experience which referred to as subjective well-being.
