Discuss a Chrisitan prespective of the the chacter 'Death' in the Everyman play
The play Everyman was written in 15th century by an anonymous writer.Everyman is portrayed as every common man who fears death as it separates this life from him,a painful and a mysterious separation. A separation after which no one returns to this life. Everyman tries to evade death by trying to bribe it,the human nature to act depending of the might of weak and vulnerable self but death is an ultimate truth that no one can avoid it.
Christian perspective of the character death is separation of person's life in this world but it continues either in hell or heaven, depending on the life that was lead by the person on earth. Individuals running after their selfish mottos, seeking lust and indulging in a life that just revolves around the self, neglecting empathy, kindness goodness, knowledge ,and ,the grace and forgiveness of the Loving Almighty Father end up their life in hell. Nothing of this material life is taken with death but the good deeds ,self acknowledgment of one's short comings and accepting it as confession before the God and seeking God's grace will take a person to live in Communion with God forever in eternity in heaven.
