National Geographic ' photo Arc ' project:

' Photo Arc' under National Geographic channel is a Project that started  by Joel Sartore , an American photographer, in 2017. This effort or the project is aimed at collecting and documenting all species of animals, that are captives or those living in wildlife sanctuaries, and in Zoo's. The photo arc contains the photos of most of the animals including the most endangered species of the animal world.

Joel Sartore , who became in love with nature and animals, in his childhood through his parents , who used to take him to various Zoos and natural places and was aware about the endangered animal species and extinction. He joined in National Geographic channel as an animal photographer, used to think about doing something different to protect the endangered animal species. He thought that a single portrait of an animal especially, that are in danger of extinction, can make a difference in people's thinking and attitude. So he initiated the project of a ' Photo arc' to collect photographs of all endangers animals to prevent extinction crisis.

Purpose: To stop the extinction crisis by exhibiting the beauty and colour of the endangered animal species through photographs. People may start to think differently after seeing the photographs or looking into the animal's eyes so they may act for the animals not aginst to it.

Joel Sartore's dream project is a great effort, with an aim to protect the remaining animals from extinction. The records show that, From the year of 1070, around 570 species got extincted from earth and today one million animals and plants are in risk of extinction. The threat is continuing as the human beings are destroying the natural habitats of this animals in the name of farming or industrialisation or housing. This project may inspire people to be aware about the extinction,by seeing the beautiful photos of these lovely, cute and unique animals that are going to wiped away from the face of earth.
