Solutions

Expert Solution

Apple is known for their innovation and different types of product. Many may have noticed it that why to they come up with so many different types of products. It is because they want to maintain the diversification is such a way that they can follow the STP (segmentation, targetting and positioning) in such a way that they can extract market share and main the position in the world.

They have segmented demographically by having products for teenagers to college going student to kds to business class people to adults. They almost cover the whole demograpic ages. their products are target oriented. So they take out products with the intention to capture or tap the untapped market.

Apart from demoraphics they segment geographically, where they have advertised such that they are present worldwide. The products are differentitaed in such a way that it can go with the requirement of any other country also.

The positioning is done beautifully where they have always tried to be a high end product and have always pictured itself as a luxurious product. Having an iphone in developed countries is normal but having it in developing countries is a matter of status. So they get both type of psychographic positioning.
