In 2 paragraphs please share any experience you have in working with individuals from backgrounds different from yours. How would this experience translate to working within a health care environment and with patients? What are some of the challenges you have encountered in working with patients from diverse populations? Do you have any challenges related to the field? Please include your references.

When we work with individual from background different from us or in community different from our community we come to face variety of problem ,like cultural problem , language problem , adaptation problem ,lack of knowledge of people place and living .

Major problem that come in working with different background people are language and cultural barriers as we or they don't have any knowledge about new culture and language ,we / they will not be able to work effectively and efficiently in our jobs or fields ,thus knowing that culture and language become essential for us in order to work in that background eg different countries , city , rural areas etc.

In health care system ,again culture difference and language barriers is main problem btw patients- providers interaction . As majority of people are from different different cultures it is imp for heath providers to accomplish 3 goals during health training time i.e 1) understanding and maintaining good rapport with patients 2) understanding what are ailments which cause disease in patients 3 ) determining proper treatment for that patients .

But again these differences comes between patients and health care provider during training time also so it is imp for providers to get maximum exposure during training time only .

For that provides can get help from different literature review books and also seek help from 3 rd party person who knows that culture or language ,and in last it depends on patients perspective also .

Some challenges one can encounter when working with patients of diverse population are ---

1) Insecurity to engage with patients of different background .

2) due to language barriers , misunderstanding can happen between patients and health care provider.

3) due to culture difference patients may not able to coordinate with provider .

4) negative impact on shared data which hampers proper diagnosis .

5) more time consuming communication between patients which does not provide any evidence of actual disease .

6) lack of trust is one of the major issues .

7) provide negative treatment to patients if any barriers present during counselling .

There are the major challenges which the health care provider must overcome in order to treat patients of different background as good health is right of every patient .

I get reference from my experiences ,as a health care provider I usually come across some patients who does not understand. My language or I was unable to understand their ,in those situation I may seek some other health providers help or go for any literature books but I tried to know about cultural , language of that place before I started to work there . So it is important for providers to know that area before starting work .
