One question that I've thought about recently has to do with clouds. We've learned about the formation of clouds but haven't really gotten that much deeper in the topic. I remember reading an article a while ago about bacteria existing in clouds but I wan't to completely sure on the accuracy of the source so my question then is, can living organisms exist in clouds? If operating under the idea that yes, specific organisms can in fact exist inside clouds, then secondly I would want to know what properties do clouds have that allow for this phenomena to happen.
ANSWER :-
Yes living organisms exist in clouds.
Clouds have tiny bacteria. These bacterias that grab up water vapour of the atmosphere to make the cloud droplets, especially at the warmer temperatures. These droplets of water and the crystal of ice make up the clouds. These clouds usually don't form spontaneously in the atmosphere ,they require a liquid or the solid surface to collect on.
It is studied that around more than 300 species of bacterias are collected from air sample. They have the ability to act as nuclei or forming ice . This formation of ice is an important trigger for snow and production of rain. So, this bacteria may be important for making certain clouds which produces rain and snow. Example of such bacteria are pseudomonas syringae. The dust act in the nuclei formation, and bacteria at this warmer temperature of clouds the ice nuclei are required. By cycling, with in the clouds and ground, the bacteria would be able to effectively reside in different ecosystem.
