Considerations of the role of weapons and defense in cooperations. (150-200 words)
In America, the defence contractors are autonomous corporations, with a primary profit motive in getting the approval of new weapons. Corporations carry out the research activities and innovate on technological quality. Sometimes the concept of new weapons and defence strategies are formulated and developed by the corporate and afterwards passed down to the government. to produce larger numbers of weapons at a much lower cost. The corporations are all directly linked with production of weapons and as such have significant political influence in providing their lobbying efforts and campaign contributions to members of the United States Congress in the promoting of war efforts. The power of defence contractors indicates that the initiatives for new weapons "float up" from the activities of research operated by corporation and military. There exists a close community of weapons experts which moves among defence corporations, military posts and has a strong influence on the decision making process.
