Metaparadigm is a set of theories or ideas that provide structure for how a discpline should function. For a nursing discipline these theory consist of 4 basic concept that adress the patient as a whole, the patient's health and well being, the person environment and the nursing responsibilities. These 4 basic nursing metaparadigm point to a holistic view of care their a patients well being and medical health is connected

1) personal component

The person component of the metaparadigm focuses on the receiver of care. However the person connection also included family members and other groups important to the patient. The care structure consider the person spiritual and social needs as well as health care needs. The resulting health outcome is attributed to how the person interact with this physical and social connections. This empowered to manage his help and well being with dignity and self preservation with positive personal connections.

2) environmental component

Environmental aspects of the nursing metaparadigm focuses on the surrounding that access the patient. The environment consist of internal and external influences. Interaction with family, friends and other people are path of the environment, as are physical and social factors such as economic conditions, geographic location, culture, social connection and technology. This metaparadigm components theorizes that a person can modify her environmental factors to improve health status.

The health component of the 4 metaparadigm refers to the extent of willness and health care access that a patient has. Health and wellness covers a person lifespan and genetic makeup and how the physical, emotional, intellectual, social and spiritual well-being is integrated in health benefits.

4) Nursing component

The nursing component of the metaparadigm involves the delivery of the optimum health outcomes for the patient through mutual relationship In a safe and caring environment. The nursing component appiles principles of knowledge, skills, technology, collaboration, proffectional judgement and communication to carryout duties and responsibilities for achieving the by possible patient health outcome

Different between the nursing theory ;

* Grand theory

It provides a conceptual framework under which the key concepts and principles of this discipline can be identified.

* Middle range theory

It is more precise and only analyses a particular situation with a limited number of variables.

* Practice level theory

It explores one particular situation found in nursing . It identifies explicit goals and details how these goals will be achieved.

* Conceptual model

Conceptual model is a representation of a system made of the composition of the concepts which are used to help people know, understand or simulate a subject the model represents
