1) WESTERN MEDICINE :-
A system in which medical doctors and other healthcare professionals (such as nurses, pharmacists, and therapists) treat symptoms and diseases using drugs, radiation, or surgery. Also called allopathic medicine, biomedicine, conventional medicine, mainstream medicine, and orthodox medicine.Overall, western medicine focuses on pathology and curing disease while alternative medicine focuses on the health and healing of the person. For both treatments, the majority of concern comes from general misunderstanding and a lack of compromise from both sides. An advantage of western medicine is that it is made effective quickly. Injured patients can go to an emergency room and find the cause of their medical problem along with the solution within a few hours thanks to the use of laboratories, X-Rays and other procedures.Modern medicine is synonymous with Western medicine, even if it originates in the East. It is referred to as being “Western,” because modern science is rooted in the rationalist philosophy of European Enlightenment. Similarly, holistic medicine is often synonymous with Traditional Chinese or Oriental Medicine.
COMPLEMENTARY MEDICINE :-
Complementary medicine is treatments that are used along with standard medical treatments but are not considered to be standard treatments. One example is using acupuncture to help lessen some side effects of cancer treatment.Complementary medicines are non-prescription medicinesavailable from health food shops, supermarkets and pharmacies. Most of these medicines are available for purchase on the shelf for consumers to select, unlike prescription medicines(prescribed by a doctor) and some OTC medicines (selected by a pharmacist). Many complementary therapies concentrate on relaxation and reducing stress. They might help to calm your emotions, relieve anxiety, and increase your general sense of health and well being. Many doctors, cancer nurses and researchers are interested in the idea that positive emotions can improve your health. The potential sensitizing capacity of numerous herbal remedies may lead to allergic contact dermatitis and more rarely to IgE-mediated clinical symptoms. Mechanical injuries may be observed following acupuncture leading to pneumothorax, cardiac tamponade or spinal injury.
2) Health facilities are places that provide health care. They include hospitals, clinics, outpatient care centers and specialized care centers, such as birthing centers and psychiatric care centers.Quality is important. Some facilities do a better job than others.Ambulatory surgical centers, birth centers, blood banks, clinics and medical offices, diabetes education centers, dialysis Centers, hospice homes, hospitals.
3) Prayer is the therapy most commonly used among all the CAM therapies. Manipulative and body-based practices include methods that are based on manipulation and/or the movement of the body.
