what are different types of teams and their functions in health care teams.
The different types of teams and their functions in health care;
1. Core teams; such as a unit-based team (physician, nurses, physiotherapist, and pharmacist) provide care to the patient.
2. Coordinating teams; coordinate the team in a group. They are responsible for: day-to-day management of the operation, coordination of functions and resource management for the core teams.
3. Contingency teams Contingency teams are formed for emergent or specific events that are time-limited events such as; cardiac arrest team, disaster response teams, rapid response teams.
4. Ancillary services; comprise of individuals such as cleaners or domestic staff providing direct, task-specific, time-limited care to patients.
5. Support services comprising of individuals providing indirect, task-specific services in a health-care facility by facilitating the optimal healthcare experience for patients and their families.
6. The administration that is the executive leadership of a unit or facility, it has 24-hour accountability for the overall function and management of the organization.
It establishes and communicates vision;
Develops and enforces policies;
Sets expectations for staff;
Provides necessary resources for successful implementation;
Holds teams accountable for team performance;
Defines the culture of the organization
