Embryonic cells that change to compensate for cell that have been removed from the embryo demonstrate_________development
Answer: Regulative development
There are two types of development show by embryonic cells: Mosaic and Regulative development.
In mosaic development, cells more develop by the intrinsic factors, so even if the cells are removed from the embryo it (or the cells in embryo) will continue to function even if the surrounding cells interaction is not present. So, in this type of development the fate of cell equal to potency. In this the cells are said to undergo autonomous specification.
In regulative development, the cells potency is more important than the fate of cell. So, if any of the cell is removed from the embryo the remaining cells will first compensate that cell and not fulfil their normal fate because they are more dependent on the necessary cellular interaction.in this the cells are said to undergo conditional specification. And the removed cell is often observed to produce many of the other embryonic cells.
