What is a design document? What is included in a design document? How is it useful for training?
A design document is a document used to help with in the development of training and it explains the training to the managers, reviewers and other trainers. The design document should list the scope of the project, the delivery and the objectives. The scope of the project should include the goals, target audience, the design time and checkpoints throughout the training and the length of the course. The delivery includes what the course covers and what method will be used for the delivery. The objectives describe the purpose of the training. It is important because it helps the trainers understand what the training is and how it is going to be delivered. It also tells the participants what to expect throughout the course.
