What makes an instructional document a technical document? Why are technical writing skills and techniques useful to technical writers who are composing instructions?
The instructional document is a technical document since these are the technical documents that are designed for helping the general public for understanding on ho to using the systems and functions of the systems. Thus they are part of the consumer product, manuals, assembly instructions and others.
The reader of the technical documents usually varies from the abilities and the various educational backgrounds and thus the instructional documents should be written in terms which the general public understands.
Thus technical writing skills and techniques are very much useful to the technical writers for composing these documents since the writer of the documents has to be the expert in the technical perspective of the field and using their knowledge the writers can write the instructional document in an easy to understand manner.
