Expert Solution

A. To serve as the patient’s advocate means acting on the behalf of the patient in communicating and working well with the members of their healthcare providing team like doctors and nurses in making appropriate decisions about their health and providing other necessary financial, legal, and social supports.

B. The importance of advocating for the patient is that it helps in making informed decisions for the patient as per the requirement of their health. It makes it easier for them to make it through the complicated procedure, understanding the medical terms and most importantly make it easier for them to decide ethically. Nurses also advocate for their patient which significantly helps in better improvement in the overall healing process. It provides strong support to their healthcare rights.

C.For a human being, dignity is something very precious for their overall spirit. It is human nature only that they wants others to value them, value their beliefs and ways of life and most importantly repect them irrespective of what culture or race or gender or age they belong to. To treat someone with dignity is the way that we would like to be treated by others. So it becomes very important for the care giver to treat their patient with dignity and respect as it will ultimately help them feel safe and survive the whole hospital experience comfortably.

D. Yes, it is quite right to say that a living trust is the key you avoid probate. When a person sets an irrevocable trust, they establish a totally different legal entity of assest with their ownership only and hence gaining a full control over their assets indirectly. Legally, all the courts and creditors can go after any personally owned assets but not the assets in the trust. Hence, it significantly helps in protecting all the assests from creditors and prevent lawsuit. It also helps in reducing the estate taxes.

E. According to the ANA code of nursing ethics the nurse "promotes, advocates for, and strives to protect the health, safety, and rights of the patient."

This code has also a clause of protecting the patient privacy. On the basis of this principle,I do not think it would be appropriate to write or post anything related to the clinically assigned patient.

F. The HIPPA privacy rule set the stadards for implemeting physical and technical protection to the confidentiality and integrity aspect of Protected Health Information while the Security Rule ensures the safety of administrative, physical and technical Protected Health Information that is in electronic form
