Goal: 1. Demonstrate proficiency with nursing skills ( with an emphasis on IV therapy and tube feedings and skin treatments) on all assigned patients during my shift with minimal assistance.

tube feeding- nasogastric tube feeding plays a very important role for providing nutrition to the pateint.

assessment for the position of the tube plays a very important role which involves listen for the bowel sounds,pushing air and placing the stetescope for sound , checking for the ph ,and x ray.

this also involves clenching the tube before feed to prevent air entry.

infusion of water after every feed plays a very imprortant role to promote the patency of the tube.

Skin care - skin care plays a very imporatant role for patients who atre confiend to bed hence providing adequate skin care is essential.

this can be carried out by promoting and providing back massage to the patient .

using olive oil for skin hydration.

providing and promotion skin care.

using moisturex .

carrying out positioning to prevent bed sore.
