Stress continues to have a significant impact on health during middle adulthood, as it did in young adulthood, although the nature of what is stressful may have changed. Psychoneuroimmunologists, who study the relationship between the brain, immune system, and psychological factors, conclude that stress produces three main consequences.
Stress has very severe effects on mental as well as physical health of individual . Stress can result from various factors including health related , profession releted etc. Prolonged stress is very harmful for body and brain of individual.
Answer 1) main consequences of stress are , mental health problems like depression , anxiety , personality side effects.
Effect on cardiovascular system that results in heart attack ,angina , stroke ,high blood pressure .
Obesity , hormonal imbalance , menstural problems in females .
Skin hair problem like acne , hairfall , damage skin etc .
Can cause sexual dysfunction in both male and female
These whole can classified under 3 consequences
1) direct physiological effects like increase bp , psychomotor function and decrease in hormone .
2) indirect heath releted behaviour like delay in seeking medical help .
3) harmful behaviour like increase smoking , decrease sleep and intake of drugs etc
Answer 2 ) cultural factors like language barriers , cultural differences , immigration , change in traditional values , difference in thought and idea are responsible for induceing stress in individual .
Answer 3) although females are more prone to stress but nowadays it is common in both male and female .males generally manages stress easily but not in all cases. Basic management of stress is doing some yoga , exercise , talking to family and friends . Going out and giving some time to one self
